Strictly Come Dancing‬‬ 2017

Strictly Come Dancing‬‬ 2017 Live A total of 15 celebs started off at the launch show on September 9 when they were paired with their professional dance partners, they have since danced their way through 12 gruelling live shows with someone eliminated each week.

Alexandra Burke is having a great run on Strictly Come Dancing, garnering regular praise and high scores from the judges and now through to the semi-finals. But the former X Factor star hasn’t had quite such a positive reception from all quarters, with viewers having voted her into the dance-off in the last two weeks and a minority taking to Twitter to question the veracity of her emotional reactions on the show, and in some cases simply to hurl abuse. Speaking in the new issue of Radio Times magazine, the 29-year-old star, whose mother passed away just prior to the start of Strictly, tells us “my joy and my tears were 100 per cent genuine” and admits she is having a hard time dealing with the “hurtful” comments. “I have struggled with some of the public’s reaction,” says Alexandra.

“I’ve had my fair share of negative press since winning The X Factor nine years ago, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. “Twitter seems to have given people permission to be incredibly hurtful. They don’t seem to realise that I have feelings and get upset. “The saddest thing is that I started the show completely myself – my joy and my tears were 100 per cent genuine, however much people said they were fake – but I’m now so self-conscious, I try not to react at all in case people say, ‘Oh, look, here are the fake tears again’.” She told Radio Times: “

In some ways it’s amazing that Strictly’s got [Shirley] because she is so technical. But being so critical – and so technically critical – straight away with everybody, it just puts a little bit of a downer on the whole show. “If the Head Judge is really technical, the others are sort of following suit a little bit. The judges have gone really technical, and that is a good thing. But they also have to motivate and be a bit more positive.” The 34-year-old, whose brother Kevin is still on the show, added that Shirley was a “great replacement” for former head judge Len Goodman, but admitted she sometimes missed his positivity.

“I love Shirley,” Joanne continued. “She used to teach me, she is a more than qualified judge and she is a great replacement for Len Goodman – although very different to Len. He did have that bit more positivity about him. “If Gemma and Aljaž came out last year and did that Quickstep, Len would’ve got everybody in a great mood and gone, ‘What a way to start the show! What a cracker of a number!’ But Shirley is so focussed on technique, which is kind of a good thing. Kind of a good thing…” Joanne concluded that Shirley “does know her stuff” but thinks she should be more balanced in her approach. She said:

“She probably is one of the most knowledgeable dancers in the ballroom world but it needs to be balanced a little bit with positivity and motivational stuff. “And I’m not saying you have to undermark or overmark, it’s just the comments – don’t go so technical, also because people don’t understand unless it’s explained on It Takes Two. I thought Len was perfect at that – he gave the balance of knowing his stuff but at the same time it was really positive.”

Cowboys will invade Las Vegas this week when the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo rides into town. Several related events, including a Christmas Cowboy marketplace and themed cocktails, will make boots and Western shirts the perfect attire on and off the Strip.

Single-event tickets for certain rodeo events were still available as of last week, but the rodeo itself — which runs Thursday to Dec. 16 at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas — traditionally sells out.

The good news is dozens of bars, lounges and restaurants throughout Las Vegas will be carrying the action live on big-screen TVs.

Gilley’s Las Vegas, the honky tonk joint at Treasure Island known as a home to the two-step, whiskey and a mechanical bull, will offer live broadcasts, and food and drink specials.Gilley’s will also an autograph session with bull riders from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 13.

Not all the live rodeo action will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center. There will be plenty of excitement — from barrel racing to bull riding — during the Cinch Boyd Gaming Chute-Out from Thursday through Saturday at the Orleans Arena. Some of rodeo’s biggest names will be competing, including Wade Sundell, who this year won the $1-million prize at the American rodeo. Sundell will show off his saddle bronc riding skills during next month’s event. Tickets start at $30.

Johnson’s shows begin at 11 p.m. each evening in the South Point Showroom. Admission is free.

Nightly free entertainment is also scheduled Thursday through Dec. 16 at MGM Grand, which is billing itself as Home of the Champions. Among the big names staying there is world champion cowboy Trevor Brazile, who has 23 National Finals Rodeo gold buckles.

A gathering spot called the Central will be branded the Gold Buckle Zone, with live entertainment nightly beginning at 5 p.m.

Plaza

Every night of NFR, there will be a free viewing party in its new Events Center, which has 18 large high-definition television screens and seats up to 400 guests. Guests attending NFR can take advantage of the free shuttle service to the Thomas & Mack Center offered nightly from 5 to 7 p.m. and returning 9 to 10:30 p.m., in time for the NFR After Parties with live entertainment in the Omaha Lounge on the casino floor.

Oscar’s Steakhouse will have three special menu items during NFR: a special braised short rib over country grits with fried onions, a slow roasted prime rib with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans, and a Whiskey BBQ glazed sirloin steak with baked potato and Brussels sprouts, each for $35. Reservations for dinner are recommended and can be made online at www.oscarslv.com or by calling 702-386-7227.

“When you win the gold buckle, that’s the best you could do in the lifestyle I chose to live,” Bingham said. “To get the very top dog award that I could possibly ever achieve would be amazing. It’s something I’m going to continue to try to do.” Joining Bingham and Bennett in their quest for a gold buckle are Baylor Roche, 28, of Tremonton, a steer wrestler in sixth place with $99,000 in winnings and J.C. Malone, 32, a tie-down roper from Plain City with $86,000 won.

Competitors from elsewhere in Utah include three members of the Wright family of Milford, all competing in the saddle bronc riding contest. They are Ryder Wright, 19, in 8th place with $99,000, Jake Wright, 28, in 10th place with just less than $92,000 and Jesse Wright, 28, in 14th place with just less than $77,000.

All three have bested Cody Wright, 40, Ryder’s father, who was the 2008 and 2010 world champion in this event, who finished 17th this season with just less than $70,000. Utah residents joining the Wright family at the Wrangler NFR are CoBurn Bradshaw, 23, of Beaver, in third place in the saddle bronc riding with $124,000 won, Joe Frost, 25, of Randlett, in fifth place in the bull riding with nearly $121,000 won, Mason Clements, 25, of Santaquin, a bareback rider in 15th place with $86,000 in winnings, and Kimmie Wall, 37, of Roosevelt, in 15th place in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association barrel racing with $76,000.

The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is the season-ending championship event for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and is widely acknowledged to be the world’s premier rodeo, according to prorodeo.com. Held annually since 1959 – and since 1985 in Las Vegas – the Wrangler NFR is ProRodeo’s richest and most prestigious rodeo, and it showcases the very best cowboys, barrel racers and livestock in the world, says the website. The rodeo is telecast to more than 55 million households on CBS Sports Network, says the website. Each performance of the Wrangler NFR is broadcast live from 7:45-10 p.m. on CBS Sports Network — DISH channel 158 or DirecTV channel 121, according to news releases from the rodeo.

The Top 15 contestants in the standard rodeo events — bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping headers and heelers, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, Women’s Professional Rodeo Association barrel racing and bull riding — qualify to compete at the Wrangler NFR based on money won during the regular season, says prorodeo.com. At the conclusion of the Wrangler NFR, world champions are determined based on total season earnings, including the Wrangler NFR, says the website. The Wrangler NFR consists of 10 rounds – one round on each of 10 consecutive days. Each contestant competes once each day.

Cowboys and barrel racers earn money by placing first through sixth in any round and pick up more money by placing first through eighth in the average with their cumulative times or points earned during the 10 rounds. While tickets for the Wrangler NFR are sold out, individuals are selling tickets on both a website of the Thomas & Mack Center and an NFR ticket exchange at the Las Vegas Convention Center, said a rodeo promoter.

Hero World Challenge 2017

Hero World Challenge 2017 Live Stream Online,The Hero World Challenge is a golf tournament hosted by Tiger Woods, which takes place each December. It features a small number (currently 18) of top-ranked golf pros. The tournament is a benefit for the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Hero World Challenge 2017 Live

Hero World Challenge 2017

Tiger Woods will make his return to professional golf on Thursday at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. Woods has not played in a competitive event in 10 months, but he will tee it up with Justin Thomas on Thursday at 12:05 p.m. ET, and we’re going to be able to watch the entire show.

There is much curiosity surrounding Woods these days, some of it morbid and some of it genuine. But everybody has an opinion, and everyone wants to witness whatever it is that happens next with Woods. Hopefully we get four whole rounds of it this weekend.

Tiger Woods knows how to create excitement, and he did just that with an opening 3-under 69 at the Hero World Challenge.

Woods made his competitive return to golf Thursday at Albany Golf Course in New Providence, and he did so with flair in finishing the round just three back when he posted in the clubhouse. While it wasn’t perfect, there was plenty to like.

No one will confuse the first round of the Hero World Challenge for Masters Sunday. It’s an unofficial PGA Tour event run by the Tiger Woods Foundation. There are only 18 players competing on a less-than-taxing Albany layout, and the galleries are more U.S. Amateur than U.S. Open.

But if you don’t think Thursday’s opening round meant a great deal to the tournament host, you would be wrong.

Playing a competitive round for the first time in 301 days, Woods opened with a mixed-bag three-under 69. He hit big drives through the breeze and made long putts. He chunked chips (twice) and fist-pumped (also twice). He cussed like he used to in his world-beating heyday. Most important, though, he looked healthy. He didn’t grimace after swings or gingerly bend down to pick up his ball. He joked with playing partner Justin Thomas on the tee box and in the fairway yet still exhibited his signature steely stare.

FIFA World Cup Final Draw 2018

FIFA World Cup Final Draw 2018

FIFA World Cup Final Draw 2018 Live Stream,The World Cup draw is Friday in Moscow, where the biggest remaining unknowns heading into next summer’s competition will be cleared up. The four pots will yield eight groups that we’ll all be able to dissect from all angles leading up to the June 14 opener featuring host Russia and its first opponent.

FIFA World Cup Final Draw 2018 Live

The draw will start at 3 p.m. GMT (10 a.m. ET)

FIFA World Cup Final Draw 2018

Before a World Cup, there has to be a World Cup draw.

Yes, after roughly three years of qualifying, involving 871 games around the globe, the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar — not to mention millions of football fans around the world — will be holding their breath on Friday.
Who could play whom? Will there be a much-dreaded “Group of Death?” Who are the favorites? Here’s the lowdown on Friday’s extravaganza at Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace.
T
he draw will take place at 3pm GMT (10:00 ET, 18:00 local) but, if you are pressed for time, tune in about half an hour later. That’s when the actual draw should start.
Former England striker Gary Lineker and Russian football reporter Maria Komandnaya will host the draw and they’ll be assisted by superstars from each of the eight nations that have won the World Cup.
It is a glittering cast: Diego Maradona (Argentina), Cafu (Brazil), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy), Carles Puyol (Spain), Gordon Banks (England), Laurent Blanc (France), Diego Forlan (Uruguay) and Miroslav Klose (Germany, trophy bearer).
The draw assistant from the host country is 91-year-old former Spartak Moscow striker Russia Nikita Simonyan.

Laurent Blanc has revealed that one of the rehearsal draws for the 2018 World Cup threw up a group of death involving favourites France and Spain, as he said the Spanish – and England – being placed in pot two will be “a problem” for everyone else.

As a former World Cup-winning captain with France in 1998, Blanc is in Moscow as a draw assistant and spent Thursday afternoon going through the process.

“We did so many draws, you know,” Blanc said. “We did four practice draws and I think tomorrow we’ll do one or two more. For your information, in one of the draws, we had France-Spain.”

The pots, as has been widely documented in recent months, were determined by using the October FIFA ranking, with the teams, aside from Russia, being placed in sequential order.

As most are well aware, that FIFA table is constructed with metrics that don’t necessarily reflect where nations actually sit on the competitive spectrum. In the November ranking, for example, 10 of the top 32 teams aren’t even competing in the World Cup. That said, the best 32 teams in the world don’t necessarily compete at the World Cup, either. All of that means there is plenty of room for discussion within each pot. Here’s how each one shapes up entering the group draw, with the most current FIFA ranking attached:

The tournament will take place between June 14 and July 15 in 2018.

World Cup Draw 2018

The draw for the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place on Friday. Teams will find out the groups they will be in and the teams they will line up against next year at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia.

There will be viewing coverage in both the UK and U.S., with the event also available to stream on different platforms. Viewers will get to see who joins host nation Russia in Group A, while reigning champions Germany and second seed Brazil will be among the nation eagerly awaiting who they’ll face during the tournament.

The draw will see all competing nations split into four pots based on seedings determined by FIFA’s official rankings. Teams will then be drawn into Groups from A-H, with the only rule being sides from outside UEFA can’t be drawn together in the same group.

It means South American rivals Brazil and Argentina can only meet during the knockout phase. The knockout rounds will feature the top two teams from each group in the last 16.

The respective pots and seedings are sure to produce some intriguing groups during the draw. England and Spain could find themselves drawn with Germany or France.

Meanwhile, Croatia will likely be keen to avoid Brazil after losing the opening game to the then-hosts during the group stage of 2014’s tournament. Brazil also drew Mexico last time out and could face El Tri again.

FIFA World Cup Draw 2018 Live Stream Online,The World Cup does not begin until June, but a crucial moment for all 32 teams in the field arrives Friday, when the draw to populate the tournament’s eight first-round groups is made. If things fall right, a team could emerge from Friday’s draw with an easy route to the Round of 16. If they don’t, a team’s hopes could be dashed even before they arrive in Russia. Here is a look at how it all works.

FIFA World Cup Draw 2018 Live

The draw will start at 3 p.m. GMT (10 a.m. ET)

FIFA World Cup Draw 2018

Germany will find out who stands between it and a successful defence of the FIFA World Cup as the draw for the 2018 Finals in Russia is held in a glitzy ceremony within the Kremlin in Moscow on Friday.

After beating Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the final at the Maracana in Rio to lift the World Cup in 2014, the aim for Joachim Loew’s side now is to become the first nation since Brazil in 1962 to retain the trophy.

Having already won the Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this year with a fringe squad, the Germans are leading favourites for glory in 2018, a status that Loew himself has said there is no avoiding.

Certainly, the Germans can expect stiff competition from the Brazil of Neymar — revitalised after their nightmare 7-1 loss to the Germans on home soil — and Spain in particular.

The first step, though, is discovering who they will meet in the group stage as the focus turns to the State Kremlin Palace, where the snow and freezing temperatures of a Russian winter will greet the footballing world for the ceremony.

Germany, Brazil and Argentina are all in the first pot along with France, European champion Portugal, Belgium, Poland and the host.

But if those nations are certain of avoiding each other, danger lurks in pot two, where the Spanish —rebuilt into a formidable force by Julen Lopetegui after poor showings in 2014 and at Euro 2016 — lies along with England.

“Whatever happens we will accept it gladly and sportingly. I don’t waste energy thinking about who I prefer and who I don’t,” said Lopetegui recently, but Spain and England will surely be crossing their fingers in the hope of being paired with Poland or the Russians.

This will be the penultimate 32-nation tournament before FIFA’s grand plan for 48 teams comes into effect for 2026 and world football’s governing body will keep apart sides from the same continent with the exception of Europe, which has 14 representatives to go into the eight groups.

The highly anticipated draw for the 2018 World Cup finals kicks off in Moscow on Friday afternoon and BBC Two will be covering all the action from 3pm.

The Match of the Day and BT Sport football host Gary Lineker, who has faced criticism for taking on the role after previously speaking out against Fifa over its various corruption scandals, will be co-presenting with the Russian journalist Maria Komandnaya.

The 32 teams who have qualified will be split into eight four-team groups, drawn from four pots. The groups will contain one team from each pot.
Teams have been placed in the pots according to their position in the Fifa world rankings for October. The exception to that are the hosts Russia, who are automatically in pot one.

So Pot One contains the seven highest-ranked teams plus Russia, pot two has the next eight teams in the rankings, and so on. England are in pot two.

England can face only one other European team as there can be a maximum of two European sides per group. No other football confederation can have more than one team in a group, so no South American sides will go head-to-head in the group phase for example.

This 45th annual edition of these popular awards will be hosted by “blackish” star Tracee Ellis Ross. Her mother, Diana Ross, will be feted with the lifetime achievement award. Among those set to perform are Selena GomezPinkKelly ClarksonChristina AguileraLady GagaNiall HoranAlessia CaraDemi LovatoShawn MendesHailee Steinfeld and Nick Jonas.

The American Music Awards will be able for free streaming to cable and satellite subscribers on both ABC.com and through the ABC app. And the AMA All Access Show, which is set to take viewers both backstage and onto the red carpet starts at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT on ABC’s Facebook page. There’s still time for you to make or update your AMA predictions.

Bruno Mars leads with eight nominations for the American Music Awards, the winners of which are decided by fans voting online. According to our AMAs predictions he’s the frontrunner to win five awards including Soul/R&B Male Artist. While that haul will make him the biggest winner of the night, he won’t take home the top prize: Artist of the Year.

That AMA is predicted to go to Ed Sheeran. Just a few months ago Sheeran won Artist of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards, which is also a fan-voted award. He was also pitted against Mars there. The British singer-songwriter is forecast to win four out of his five nominations, also including Pop/Rock Male Artist, Pop/Rock Song for his chart-topping “Shape of You,” and Adult Contemporary Artist.

The American Music Awards are perhaps best known for their musical performances, and according to this year’s host and producers, there’ll be no shortage of memorable, touching and even “insane” moments.

The excitement will start right away, with Kelly Clarkson and Pink opening the show with a duet.

“It’s [Clarkson’s] 15th anniversary of winning ‘American Idol,’ so she’s gonna throw it back to her very first hit, as well as doing her newest single,” AMA producer Mark Bracco told ABC News. “And then Pink … is doing something that has never been done before … and it’s insane in the best possible way.”

Selena Gomez’s performance of “Wolves” is sure to be a highlight for fans as well. The singer will be taking the stage for the first time since her kidney transplant, and Bracco said that it’s bound to be “a very emotional night for her.”

Another highlight: Christina Aguilera will sing a medley of songs from Whitney Houston’s “The Bodyguard” soundtrack, released 25 years ago this week.

Music fans are getting their say! The American Music Awards will celebrate the best and most influential artists on Sunday, November 19, as selected by the public.

The AMAs’ 45th annual event, to be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will be hosted by Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, with presenters including This Is Us stars Chrissy Metz and Justin HartleyJared LetoJenna Dewan TatumLea Michele and many others. Bruno Mars leads in nominations, with a total of eight nods in categories that span from Artist of the Year to Video of the Year and Favorite Artist. Drake and Ed Sheeran are right behind him with five nominations each.
