Chelsea aren’t quite off to the start to the Premier League season that they wanted, but the Champions League has been a different story altogether. They’re the only team in Group C with two wins in the first two matches of the group, and with AS Roma coming to Stamford Bridge, they’ll be looking to keep that run going as long as they can.
But Roma might not be so easy to put down. They’ve been one of the better sides in Serie A this season, pairing a tough defense with a lightning-quick attack, and riding that to a recent five-match winning streak in all competitions. Chelsea are dealing with a quarter of injuries, with Danny Drinkwater, N’Golo Kanté, and Victor Moses all out, plus Álvaro Morata carrying a minor injury that will likely see him start the match on the bench. AS Roma have a few injuries as well, with two forwards out in Patrik Schick and Grégoire Defrel, plus defender Kostas Manolas
